Just concluded another lovely evening onboard Hermes. "Too bad we are racing," said Morgen in reference to our perfect cruising conditions. For Morgen, racing isn't supposed to be as comfortable and relaxing as this...

We were able to hook into some breeze in the early evening that our gribs weren't predicting at all. We maintained 8-9 knots through the night and even hit some 10s in boat speeds! Meg didn't want to give up driving as it was way too fun chasing double digits and mini surfs.

This morning the wind started to die off and we've struggled a bit to maintain 7s in a favorable direction. Right now we are oscillating between 30-50 degrees in our heading and sailing as deep as possible to make a favorable VMG towards Bermuda. Swells are a bit weird, occasionally we get a nice surf and decent puffs, but mostly we are on the edge of gybe territory. We shall see how the rest of the day plays out! Just under 500 NM left to go.
